I've been using Audacity for a couple years to just record and send raw files. Maybe the other DAWS may require some kind of course to learn the basics of how it works, but I find Audacity to be fairly straightforward and easy to learn whatever you need through YouTube. What exactly do you think you are missing with Audacity? Why do you NEED to know all the features that exist, not just the features that you would use consistently? Is there something particular you want to learn to do? And when you do want to learn something new, why isn't a single youtube video enough? Audacity isn't THAT complicated. Are you needing to produce broadcast quality audio with a pro DAW, or do you just need to make a clean recording? So it honestly really depends on your needs. Studio One has A LOT more features that I use for major editing such as compressors, graphic EQ, de-clicker ect. I like audacity for just the plain simplicity and ease of use, and I set all my own shortcuts to make my work efficient. I mainly use Audacity for my general audition recordings or really short recordings, but then I use Studio One when I need to do longer recordings, punch and roll, or have major editing to do. Use a DAW that accommodates to your needs. Voiceover Essentials: Find great VO gear!
